Tieback Anchor reinforcement is a further extension of Paraloop  in that MSE reinforcement design is changed to a buried tieback/buried dead man anchor design utilising passive pullout forces. Paraloops are extended further back into retained soils and anchored around larger buried anchor blocks. This design approach allows for the use of relatively low friction angle backfill materials or lime / cement stabilised site soils as the retaining design is independent of MSE frictional backfill properties and reinforcement interaction and is based on passive pullout of the buried anchor block motorway.
